La Lonja de la Seda (Silk Exchange)

The Silk Exchange of Valencia is one of the most important Gothic buildings in Europe and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in the 15th century as a trading center, it was a symbol of Valencia's wealth and importance during the heyday of Mediterranean trade. Particularly impressive are the elaborately twisted marble columns in the Hall of Commerce, the magnificent vaulted ceiling and the inner courtyard with orange trees.

Admission to the Silk Exchange is free with the Valencia Tourist Card. The visit is particularly worthwhile in the morning, when the light falls through the stained glass windows and the building glows in warm colors.

Torres de Serranos

The Torres de Serranos are one of Valencia's landmarks and an impressive example of medieval military architecture. The two towers from the 14th century were once part of the old city wall and served as the main gateway to the old town. Today, visitors can climb the stairs and enjoy a magnificent view over Turia Park and the rooftops of Valencia from the viewing platform.

Entry to the Torres de Serranos is free with the Valencia Tourist Card. The visit is particularly beautiful just before sunset, when the warm light bathes the stone walls in golden colors.

Torres de Quart

The Torres de Quart are the western counterpart to the Torres de Serranos and are also part of the former city fortifications. Built in the 15th century, the towers still bear traces of the cannon blasts from the Napoleonic siege. Museo Fallero de Valencia

The Fallas Museum is a tribute to one of Spain's most spectacular festivals: the „Fallas“. Every year in March, Valencia is transformed into a huge work of art made of figures, fire and color. The museum exhibits the most beautiful „ninots“ - the figures spared from burning - which have been saved by public vote every year since 1934.
